Peugeot EX1 has buzzed its way into the record books for the polishing of the Nürburgring Nordschleife 12 km route with a 9:01.338 minutes. This Peugeot shattering the previous record for an electric car on the track by an impressive 50 seconds.

The all-electric pug, which made its debut at the Paris Motor Show 2010, an average of 85 km / h in race history. Peugeot is committed to publishing photographs and video of the EX1 to the Nordschleife, but for now we'll have to wait.

The lightweight unit, four-wheel EX1 was created to celebrate 200 years of Peugeot, and the blocks of a pair of electric motors (one on each axis) for a total of 340 horsepower. In terms of production, not hold your breath, but the technologies on display at the EX1 and the lessons learned during its development is likely to influence future models.
